Where they surely
Don’t belong

No life luxury here
Only sadness
Betrayal
Pain

God knows
I miss you
Grieve
The easy relationship
We once had

But you’ll not have it back
Refuse it
In favor of a life
Free of daughters

Put the pencil down
Shove the Sudoku puzzle
Back in the drawer

Forget you again
For now
