My Grandmother’s Quilt

Posted on October 6, 2015 by Snapshot Reflections under Poetry

Time mends the heart
Memories flicker and fade
Like colorful threads
Weaving subconsciously
Throughout the day
And into the night

You are on my mind
Missing in all
The earthly ways
But threaded
Tightly inside my heart
Patterned and faded
Like my grandmother’s quilt
