Photo Op

Such a
Spectacular view
Outside our
Hexagon window
This early morn

wispy clouds
Creep
Around and through
Stark fingers
Of leafless branches

Multitudes of stars
Wink
In the otherwise
Emptiness
Of outer space

A full moon
Bright
Lustrous
Illuminates trees
The snowscape
Glistens

A search
For a camera
Capable of
Capturing the moment
Proves futile
Fumbling around
Will only wake
The family

Off balance
Arms trembling
I take a picture
With my phone

The result is
Disappointing
Mediocre at best
But at least
I tried
