Forget about your scheduled day for a moment
Let’s roll upon the carpet laughing
My arms twined about your neck
While you grump about hurting your back
Too soon,
The familiar racing of little boy feet
Gallop up the stairs
With little boy hands attached to
Little boy limbs
They dog pile our intimate moment
With reckless leaps and bright eyes
They cannot seem to leave us alone
During times such as these
Now there are four giggling madly
Where once there were two
Content to tickle and wrestle until
We are all spent and out of breath
