Making it look better
Or worse

But all that

Of life’s events
Are just a cover
A false front
To hide what’s really going on

Everyone has a story
The one shared with the world
And the truth
Shared with a chosen few

And though we toil with words
Photo-shopping images to our liking
To spread our alter egos
Out across the digital landscape

It is really
Only the few
The ones who know the truth
That matter in the end
